Descendants Day: First Saturday Presentations

Descendants Day presentations are held on the first Saturdays of every month. Descendants, if you are interested in sharing the story of your USCT ancestor please contact the museum via email at or telephone at 202.667.2667.

Descendants of USCT Soldiers share the story of their ancestor. Descendants also share their research process. The museum does a video archive of the presentation for future descendants and scholars.

Calling all regiments of USCT: Grand Review and Parade May 17, 2015

All USCT Regiments are asked to begin preparing to join 6 - 10,000 regular re-enactors for the Grand Review Parade on May 17, 2015 by recruiting heavily to increase your ranks and by supporting the "Rally on the High Ground" to revivify the memorial in Washington.

Your individual registration covers your attendance to any of the planned workshops that will be hosted, entrance to the Civil War Camp Barker Experience, The forum at the US Capitol, and the Candle light Vigil at the African American Civil War Memorial.  Tickets to the Camp Barker Prayer Breakfast and the Officer's Ball are sold separately.
